Introducing the new
Building on four generations of expertise in complex design-build projects.

These words drove company decision making generations ago, and they continue to guide our operations today.

Superior Construction’s entrepreneurial spirit, quality construction, and pursuit of complex projects began in the 1920s. Established in Gary, Indiana, the company foundation has always been in building the infrastructure of America. Schools, post offices, and libraries are some of the first projects Superior Construction completed, helping shape the America we know today. As the company grows, so too do the types of work we perform. We now take on large, complex structures in transportation, industrial, and a variety of necessary American infrastructure, delivering quality work safely and honestly nationwide.

Safety always comes first

As a family-owned company, the monuments we construct are always secondary to a safe working culture. Superior Construction is known as an industry leader in progressive safety programs, exemplified by having one of the best safety records in the industry. We place high value on providing a safe work environment and continual training for our employees, and we maintain and build these standards by leveraging our Health, Safety, and Environmental group; implementing best-in-class technology solutions; and providing high-quality training. We invest in safety because we care that each of our employees goes home healthy at the end of each day.

Each Superior Construction employee is held accountable, and our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professionals work side-by-side with our operations professionals. This helps ensure we’re implementing current technologies and HSE protocols on every job and task we are involved in. Our HSE program begins with each employee, from the top down — empowering them to make safe decisions and speak up as necessary. Keeping safety at the forefront protects our employees while ensuring the safety of the communities we serve.

How we give back

We don’t just help improve the infrastructure of our country by building essential construction projects — we also invest in the communities we call home.

As citizens and active neighbors in these communities, this is our responsibility. Each Superior Construction regional office identifies community needs and gets involved at a local level. Through volunteer work, civic commitments, and encouraging local hiring, we strive to be community builders rather than just general contractors.
